英语虚词和实词分析总结

1、表并列关系————功能是总结上文

Some，others，yet/still others一些，另外一些，还有一些
在表达并列的同时，暗示了文章描述的是两个事物或一个事物的两个方面：The other（one one hand，on the other hand）
Coupled with = toghther with（其中的couple又暗示了一对，一双）
The former / the latter（前者，后者）
2、表转折
But/ however / yet
相对陌生的：nevertheless / nonetheless（注意：该词也可分开写为：none the less）
3、表原因
Due to / owing to
Given / considering / judging from / in view of
动词+ from：result from/ arise from/ stem from
4、表目的
Lest / for fear that用法、意思同in case that，即“以免，以防“
5、表比较关系
表对比：by contrast / in contrast to暗示文章介绍两个对立的事物或方面。表类比：analogy，liken，likewise，equally，equivalent，parallel，as well暗示了文章中介绍两个相似的观点或事物
6、表举例（事实与观点的区分）
For example / for instance / such as
Dramatize / illustrate / demonstrate这三个动词表示“以一个形象的方式说明，暗示举例”
Particularly/ especially / most notably比如：I like fruit，especially apples。
Of +复数名词，放在句首时of表示“在......当中”含义等于among，所以其后开始列举具体事物。
7、表强调事实，这类单词在功能上有时表示同义反复，即后一句对前一句话进行强调，意思其实一回事；另外此类单词若出现在段末或篇末，表总结。

8、表换个说法
